Eliza Petkova's "Zhaleika" is included in the special ZAGREB Film Festival's programme "Festivals in the Spotlight". The film received GRAND PRIX ‘SOFIA CITY OF FILM’ award for best film in the International Competition for first and second films at 20th anniversary edition of Sofia International Film Festival. It will be presented in Zagreb byMira Staleva, deputy director of Sofia Film Fest and head of Sofia Meetings and this event will mark the beginning of a new partnership between Zagreb and Sofia. One short film selection from Sarajevo, three films from the festival in Rotterdam and also four films from "Directors' Fortnight" at Cannes will be presented in this special programme.
In "PLUS" competition се представят филми за младежка аудитория и сред петте заглавия е филма на Ивайло Христов "Каръци", а в програмата "Together Again" киноманите ще могат да видят "Белгийският крал" на Петер Бросенс и Джесика Удуърт - филм с важно копродуцентско участие от страна на България, заснет почти изцяло в нашата прекрасна страна.
14 филма на творци от цял свят (дебютни или втори филми) ще се състезават в основната конкурсна програма за голямата награда на фестивала.
14-ото издание на филмовия фестивал в Загреб стартира на 12 ноември и ще продължи до 20 ноември 2016.
